Niall Moran has come out of retirement and rejoined the Limerick panel ahead of their Munster final clash with Cork.

“Yeah, he’s back alright,” Limerick boss TJ Ryan is reported by the Limerick Leader as having told a media briefing.

“We were looking to make up 15-v-15s in training and had a few injuries before Tipperary so he was one of the calls I made basically and he was mad keen.

"He came back and we said we’d have a look, there was no pressure on either side but he’s back now and he knew 100% what it was about."

Last month, Moran told RTÉ Sport that “when you make your decision you make your decision” regarding retirement, but he appears to have had a change of heart.

The Ahane hurler was part of the Limerick panel that won last year’s Munster championship, Limerick’s first provincial win since 1996.

Limerick play Cork in this year’s Munster decider on Sunday 13 July at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
