Michael Rice suffered a suspected cruciate ligament injury at a Kilkenny training camp over the weekend, according to reports.

The full extent of the injury is not yet known but midfielder Rice will miss the Cats’ Leinster Hurling Championship meeting with Offaly at Nowlan Park this Saturday.

Kilkenny manager Brian Cody could also be without former All Star forward Richie Power who is struggling with a hamstring injury, while it looks like the game may come too soon for Henry Shefflin and Michael Fennelly who are returning from injury.
