There were wild celebrations in Ennis, where more than 20,000 supporters gathered to welcome home All-Ireland Hurling champions Clare.

It was a long journey for the Clare team, who arrived in the Banner County this evening after a very busy day.

The team visited Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin this morning to share their success with young fans.

They returned to Clare via a special train from Heuston Station this afternoon.

The team visited Cratloe, Sixmilebridge and Clarecastle among many stop-offs on the way to Ennis, where they reached the stage in front of a huge crowd just after 9pm.
