The GAA have confirmed James McGrath will referee the All-Ireland Senior Hurling final replay between Cork and Clare.

It will be James McGrath’s second senior assignment, having previously taken charge of the 2012 Replay final between Kilkenny and Galway.

The Turin clubman has also refereed the All-Ireland Hurling Minor final in 2009 and Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-21 final in 2010.

McGrath sent off Cork's Patrick Horgan earlier this summer in the Munster final.

Offaly’s Brian Gavin will be the standby referee with Johnny Ryan (Tipperary) as the other linesman and the sideline official will be Alan Kelly (Galway).
