London v Westmeath, Ruislip, 4.30

London host Westmeath in Ruislip looking to emulate their footballing counterparts by claiming a famous Championship win.

The Exiles lost their preliminary round game to Carlow in the middle of May, and it was the start of May that the Lake County men bowed out of the Leinster race, losing away to Antrim.

London are getting stronger all the time, but an injury crisis has come at precisely the wrong time.

Manager Eamonn Phelan told the Irish Post: “We have 26 and we have eight injured. We've played a couple of challenge matches against Kilburn and Gabriel’s, and they're beating us.”

Westmeath manager Brian Hanley has decided to change things around with two debutants, Aaron Craig and Liam Varley, coming in. Paul Fennell also starts and there are a number of positional changes.

The Lake County had a decent league campaign (beaten in the final) and would have fancied their chances against the Saffrons so defeat is unthinkable here.

The victors will host the winners from Offaly-Waterford.

Verdict: Westmeath

London: To follow

Westmeath: P Collins, L Varley, T Gallagher, P Fennell, D Fennell, A McGrath, A Price, E Price (c), J Clarke, B Murtagh, A Craig, D McNicholas, N O'Brien, R Greville, J Shaw.
