Conal Keaney is a doubtful starter for Dublin in their eagerly anticipated All-Ireland senior hurling qualifier against Clare in Ennis.

Manager Anthony Daly has revealed that the hamstring injury Keaney sustained during the Leinster semi-final defeat by Kilkenny has been slow to respond to treatment.

The Ballyboden St Enda's clubman will be given as much as possible to prove his fitness as Dublin bid to get their season up and running against the Banner.

Conor McCormack is also a doubt with a dead leg, while Paul Schutte is still recovering after tearing a cruciate ligament.

There is better news concerning Joey Boland and Ryan O’Dwyer, who both declared themselves fit and are now training more regularly.
