Jerry Wallace has stepped down from his role as Antrim hurling manager.

His resignation comes in the wake of their Leinster Hurling Championship defeat to Westmeath on 19 May.

His exit follows that of his backroom team of Gregory O’Kane and Terence McNaughton.

The Antrim County Board will meet this week to commence the search for Wallace’s replacement.

Reports have emerged that an interim management team will be put in place for the Saffrons clash with Limerick or Laois in the All-Ireland qualifiers on 30 June.
