The Tipperary hurling manager Declan Ryan says he was as shocked as anyone else to hear about Lar Corbett's decision to withdraw from the county panel.
Ryan though insists the door is open for Corbett to return should he wish to, but also pointed out it is business as usual for the Premier squad when they met for training on Tuesday night.
It is now understood that Corbett was injured in training on 31 January and did not have any contact with management until Monday, when he met with Ryan to inform him about his decision to quit the panel.
