Hurling League changes are announced

The Allianz Hurling League Division 1B champions will play in the Division 1A semi-finals after a new league system was agreed on Tuesday night.
Representatives from several counties met over the last few weeks in an attempt to reverse Central Council's decision to changes made to Division 1.
Central Council have again opted for two top tiers of six which means Kilkenny, Dublin, Waterford, Tipperary, Galway and Cork will play in Division 1A.
Wexford, Offaly, Limerick, Clare, Antrim and Laois will compete in Division 1B. The top two teams will be promoted, as well as meeting in the final to play a team in Division 1A.
Division 1A: Kilkenny, Dublin, Waterford, Tipperary, Galway, Cork
Division 1B: Wexford, Offaly, Limerick, Clare, Laois, Antrim
Division 2A: Down, Carlow, Kerry, Westmeath, Wicklow, Derry
Division 2B: London, Kildare, Meath, Armagh, Mayo, Roscommon
