Offaly’s Brian Gavin will referee the All-Ireland SHC final between Kilkenny and Tipperary at Croke Park on 4 September.

The Clara native takes charge of his first senior decider after having refereed the All-Ireland minor final in 2004, the All-Ireland U-21 final in 2006. He also has three All-Ireland semi-finals and two Munster finals to his name.

Westmeath’s Barry Kelly will be the standby referee, the other linesman is John Sexton (Cork) and the sideline official will be Alan Kelly (Galway).

Johnny Ryan of Tipperary will be the man in charge of the All-Ireland minor final between Dublin and Galway.
