Kilkenny still keen on Shefflin return

A second opinion is been sought on the severity of Henry Shefflin's knee injury, in the hope that the ace attacker may after all be able to play some part in the All-Ireland SHC final on 5 September.
Earlier this week, scans revealed that the player had torn the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee following last Sunday's semi-final victory over Cork.
Kilkenny officials have now sent Shefflin to Ger Hartmann's sports injury clinic in Limerick with a view to starting more intensive treatment next week, and have not ruled out the possibility that he can be part of their bid to win a fifth successive title.
