Blackrock were crowned All-Ireland Junior champions with a 12 points win at Croke Park.

An Aidan Murphy goal and six Ritchie McCarthy points showcased what was a comfortable success for the Treaty men.

They opened up confidently, with McCarthy firing over a couple of spectacular long range scores, and there were points from Kevin Palmer and Aidan Murphy as the Limerick men eased into control.

The Ulster champions responded with points from Niall O’Neill and Ryan O’Neill, but Murphy’s 13th minute goal earned a 1-9 to 0-4 interval lead for Blackrock.

McCarthy’s accuracy continued in the second half, and while Niall O’Neill pulled back some points, the Tyrone men never looked like causing an upset.
