Mike McNamara’s replacement as Clare manager is already being lined up according to reports on Wednesday morning.

McNamara tendered his resignation as Clare Hurling manager at a special County Board meeting in Ennis on Tuesday.

The former All-Ireland winning Clare forward Ger ‘Sparrow’ O'Loughlin is expected to take over, with his appointment due to be ratified at the Clare County Convention on Thursday.
