The Galway County hurling final will go ahead on Sunday after the referees in the county agreed to allow one of their members officiate under protest.
The referees had threatened strike after one referee was verbally abused and forced to remain on the pitch for ten minutes for his own safety following one of the semi-finals.
Some of the abuse was captured on video.
