McNamara to address county board

Clare boss Mike McNamara will address the county board on Tuesday night amid player unrest within his squad.

The Banner players let their feelings be known when 27 out of 28 squad members voted to have him removed from his position.

County Board Chairman Michael O'Neill has said that the problem is unlikely to end in a strike, despite suggestions one is on the cards.

Asked to comment on the possibility of a strike similar to that in Cork, he said last week: 'That would be hypothetical. There certainly is no fear in my mind of that happening.'
