Setanta Ó hAilpín came close to returning to Ireland after his training bust-up earlier this year, his brother Sean Og has revealed.
A former Young Hurler of the Year, Setanta was sent to anger management by his club after assaulting team-mate Cameron Cloke.
Sean Óg told the Irish Daily Star: ‘He was close to coming home with Aisake last February. He was told to go home, the coach had a few harsh words to say.
‘He was sent for a couple of weeks' anger management and suspended for a month.'
But Sean Óg revealed that the incident forced Setanta to review his mentality.
‘During that month, he decided "it's nearly over so I've got to change".
'He's committed for another two years now.’
