Considine silent on Fitzgerald reports
Updated: Thursday, 14 Jun 2007 16:02
Clare hurling manager Tony Considine refused to comment today on reports that veteran goalkeeper Davy Fitzgerald has left the panel following a dispute between the two.
Fitzgerald and several other senior players were not part of the squad for the Waterford Crystal Trophy and so did not feature against Tipperary today. The Banner conceded three goals in a 3-14 to 1-14 defeat.
Fitzgerald was training with the county panel up until last Wednesday.
Considine was asked directly today about the situation, but refused to discuss it.
