Ryan hangs up his Model boots
Updated: Thursday, 14 Jun 2007 16:06
Stalwart Wexford full-back Darragh Ryan has announced his retirement from the inter-county game.
The 2001 All Star has been plagued by injuries throughout a career that peaked when he was a member of the Wexford side that ended Kilkenny's stranglehold on the Leinster SHC title in 2004.
Ryan was unable to feature in the 2006 campaign for the Model side.
He is to make a decision on his future with club side St Anne's early next year.
Fellow veterans Paul Codd and Rory McCarthy are also said to be considering stepping down from the Wexford panel.
