Babs Keating was last night ratified as Tipperary manager for a two-year term. John Leahy and Tom Barry have been appointed as his selectors.
Keating's previous spell in charge saw the Premier County claim two league titles, five Munster championships and two All-Ireland titles. His previous tenure came to an end with defeat at the hands of a resurgent Clare team in 1994.
In the interim Keating has managed Laois, Galway and Offaly at intercounty level and UCD in the club sphere.
Thurles Sarsfields stalwart Barry played alongside Keating for Tipperary in the 1970s, while Leahy can be expected to bridge the generation gap having played under Keating from 1988 to 1994.
