Mayo defender Lee Keegan has appealed against the red card he received in Sunday's drawn All-Ireland semi-final with Kerry.

The two-time All Star was sent off by referee David Coldrick in the 33rd minute after appearing to kick out in the direction of Johnny Buckley.

Keegan's case will be heard on Thursday night and Mayo will be hoping the offensively minded half-back will be cleared to take part in Saturday's replay.

Mayo manager James Horan will delay announcing his team until Friday as a result.
