The Gaelic Grounds will now host its first ever All-Ireland football semi-final

The drawn Kerry v Mayo All-Ireland semi-final certainly brought much needed life to this year's football championship. Pundits and supporters were equally impressed with the fare served up.

However, the reaction was much different when it was confirmed that the replay will not take place at Croke Park.

That day sees an American Football college game at GAA HQ, with the result that the Association have decided to fix the replay for the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick at 5pm.

On The Sunday Game, presenter Des Cahill explained the reasoning behind the GAA's decision. In spite of that, analysts Eamonn O'Hara, Dermot Earley and Ciarán Whelan were all in agreement that a provision should have been made for Kerry and Mayo to return to Croke Park.
