Colm Begley will return to the Laois panel this week and is part of the county's plans for their Leinster Senior Football Championship clash with Dublin in early June.
Laois beat Wicklow 0-21 to 1-11 in Aughrim yesterday but Begley was left out of the panel as a result of playing for his club Parnells in their defeat to Lucan Sarsfields in the Dublin club championship on Wednesday.
But Laois manager Tomás O Flatharta has confirmed that the exclusion is a one-off and that the midfielder will be part of the county's preparations for the clash with Dublin on 8 June.
He said: "Myself and Colm had a discussion about it. As you know he plays his club football in Dublin with Parnells and he is also a coach with that team. He found himself in a very awkward situation.
"He is still a very valued and vital part of our panel and he is going to be here with us on Tuesday night preparing for our next round."
