Roscommon and Cavan continue to lead the hunt for promotion from Division 3 after wins over Fermanagh and Sligo respectively on Sunday.

The Rossies head the table on goal difference after a 3-17 to 4-10 win over the Ernesiders in Enniskillen.

Crucial second-half goals from Cathal Cregg and Enda Smith proved decisive for John Evans' side.

Cavan trailed by 0-09 to 0-05 midway through the second half in their tussle with Sligo at Breffni Park.

However, four unanswered points from the victors drew the sides level before Niall McDermott fired home the decisive goal on 61 minutes. Terry Hyland's side ran out 1-12 to 0-10 winners.

Elsewhere Offaly remain pointless after a fourth consecutive defeat as Longford finished strongly to record a 1-15 to 1-10 success at O'Connor Park.

Limerick also rallied late at the Gaelic Grounds and Ian Ryan's goal four minutes into added time saw them edge out Wexford 1-14 to 1-13.
