The Limerick county board have appointed Donal O'Grady and TJ Ryan as joint managers of the Limerick senior hurling team.

The duo replace John Allen, who led the county of their first Munster title in 17 years.

This will be O'Grady's second time to take charge of the Limerick hurlers while Ryan previously served as a selector under O'Grady where the two built up a strong working relationship.

O'Grady and Ryan have been appointed for the next two seasons, while Mark Lyons of Kilmallock and Paul Beary of Na Piarsaigh being named as their selectors.
