Donegal have been given 1,000 extra tickets for Sunday’s Ulster Senior Football Championship quarter-final with Tyrone in Ballybofey after the Red Hand failed to sell their full allocation.

Tyrone had argued that their 5,750 tickets allocation would not be enough to satisfy demand but after returning 1,000 tickets, 40 Donegal clubs will now benefit.

Tyrone PRO Eunan Lindsay originally said: “We’re very disappointed with the allocation of tickets.

“We are left with one ticket for every two adult members in the county and that’s before we even look at youth.”

Donegal will welcome the extra batch of tickets as they begin the defence of the All-Ireland.
