Kildare are the Cadbury Leinster GAA football U21 Champions after a 1-12 to 0-12 win over Longford in front of almost 6,000 spectators in Portlaoise.

Paddy Brophy scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot early in the second half as the Lilywhites prevailed by three points.

Elsewhere, Cavan and Donegal will contest the Ulster under-21 final after beating Down (1-12 to 0-06) and Derry (2-11 to 0-15) respectively.
