Armagh’s All-Ireland winning boss Joe Kernan has been appointed manager of Ulster club champions Crossmaglen.

Kernan previously managed the County Armagh club side from 1993 to 2000 and takes over from joint-managers Tony McEntee and Gareth O'Neill who stepped down earlier this month.

Crossmaglen’s most recent All-Ireland challenge came unstuck at the semi-final stage when they were beaten by Roscommon side St Brigid's, who went on to take the title.

Kernan won the All-Ireland club championship in 1997, 1999 and 2000 during his last stint in charge of the south Armagh outfit.
