Monaghan saw off Sligo with ease in Clones in the Allianz Football League Division 3 today.

The home side completely dominated the first half with Owen Duffy’s two points giving them the lead and they wasted chances to create a sizeable lead in the first 35 minutes.

The Farney led by 0-06 to 0-02 at the break with Adrian Marren scoring Sligo’s only points of the half.

Christopher McGuinness’ goal gave Malachy O’Rourke’s side the platform to kick on.

Marren kept Sligo in touch but they were well beaten, 1-12 to 0-07.

Wicklow scored an injury-time goal against Roscommon to take a first point of the Division 3 campaign in a 0-13 to 1-10 scoreline.

Conor McGraynor scored three points with Jacko Dalton scoring the goal.

Roscommon had led 0-13 to 0-10 with just minutes remaining until the late goal secured a point for the Garden County.
