Kerry recorded an emphatic victory over IT Tralee in Fitzgerald Stadium in the McGrath Cup preliminary round in Eamonn Fitzmaurice's first match in charge of the Kingdom.
Kerry emerged 4-22 to 0-10 winners with goals coming from Paul Geaney (2), Mike Geaney and Patrick Curtin.
Fitzmaurice’s men were 3-09 to 0-04 ahead at the break with Curtin adding the further goal in the early stages of the second period.
Kieran Donaghy was forced off with injury with 13 minutes left and, having used all their substitutes, it meant Kerry had to finish the game with 14 men.
However, it mattered little as they progressed to a quarter-final meeting with UCC next weekend.
