As expected, the Kerry county board have ratified the selection of Eamon Fitzmaurice as the county's new football manager on a three-year deal

The All-Ireland winner from 2000, 2004 & 2006 takes over the reigns from Jack O'Connor who resigned in the aftermath of the elimination from the All Ireland series against finalist Donegal earlier this month

No news as yet on Fitzmaurice's backroom team which is expected to include Seamus Moynihan, Dairmuid Murphy and Mikey Sheehy.

Daragh O Sé has been appointed as manager of the under 21s, filling the position which had been held by Fitzmaurice.

The county committee have yet to appoint a successor to John Meyler as senior hurling boss.
