Kerry’s reward for success in the qualifiers is an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final clash with Ulster champions Donegal.

The encounter was the plum tie to come out of tonight’s draw on RTÉ Radio’s Saturday Sport.

The other games will see Cork take on Kildare, Dublin will face Laois and Mayo paired off with Down.

These quarter-finals will be played next weekend and arrangements for all four fixtures will be confirmed after tomorrow evening’s CCCC meeting in Thurles.

The semi-finals have been pre-ordained, and it would appear to make good reading for Dublin fans.

The defending All-Ireland champions will be expected to account for Laois next weekend, and if they manage that Pat Gilroy’s men will be up against the winner of Mayo and Down.

The other side of the draw looks decidedly more difficult, with the winners of Kerry and Donegal set to take on whoever comes through the Cork and Kildare game.

All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals:

Cork v Kildare

Dublin v Laois

Donegal v Kerry

Mayo v Down

All-Ireland SFC semi-finals:

26 Aug: Cork/Kildare v Donegal/Kerry

2 Sept: Dublin/Laois v Mayo/Down
