RTÉ Television Gaelic Games Correspondent Jonathan Mullin is leaving his post in Donnybrook to become editor of the Irish Racing Post.
The 31-year-old Mayo native was the News division’s first dedicated Gaelic Games Correspondent following his appointment in April 2008.
Speaking to RTÉ Sport, Mullin said that he enjoyed working with a 'great team' of people in the News division, but is looking forward to the new challenge that lies ahead.
He said: 'My two sporting passions are the GAA and horse racing. I think the latter needs a shot in the arm in view of the tough financial times that we live in.
'The aim with Irish expansion of the Racing Post is to produce a quality newspaper that reflects the issues in a sport in which Ireland is a world leader.'
