Brennan returns to Louth panel
Updated: Friday, 22 Jan 2010 09:46
Mark Brennan has given the Louth footballers a boost by announcing he will return to the senior panel for the forthcoming season.
Brennan hasn’t featured for the Wee county since 2007 but has made himself available to manager Peter Fitzpatrick this year.
26-year-old Brennan said: ‘He [Fitzpatrick] asked me at the end of last year but it was the end of a long year with the club and I wanted a break. So I told him if he still wanted me in January I'd be more than happy to come back.
‘I'm looking forward to going back. I haven't played with the county since after the Wexford game three years ago and, when you're after winning a county championship, the next place to test yourself is at county level.’
