Sheehan could miss NFL matches

Kerry’s newly-appointed captain Bryan Sheehan could miss the start of the National Football League after injuring ankle ligaments in the Kingdom’s McGrath Cup win over Waterford on Sunday.
The injury was confirmed after Sheehan had an X-ray on the knock that forced his substitution late on in the match.
Kerry face Dublin on 7 February in Killarney and it is likely that match will come too soon for Sheehan.
There has been no confirmation from Kerry as to how long he will be absent for.
