FULL TIME: Cork 1-09 Kerry 0-16

72 mins Another chance for a Cork goal but blasted wide and the whistle goes for full-time and Kerry are champions.

71 mins - Into the last minute now as Kerry are about to be crowned champions.

70 mins - Game goes into injury time - two minutes to be played.

69 mins - High ball into the Kerry box as Marc O Se sweeps up and clears. Looking like it's Kerry's title once more.

68 mins - Tommy Walsh has gone off for David Moran.

65 mins - Five minutes to go... four points the margin. Can Cork get back into this game?

63 mins - Masters gets into a great possession but hits it wide with the outside of the left boot. That's 12 wides for Cork.

61 mins - Great interception by Tommy Griffin as the ball dropped into the Kerry box. Cork mix it up again as Masters replaces Goulding

58 mins - Tomas O Se bursts forward again and hammers over another point as Kerry move four clear.

58 mins - Latest score: Cork 1-09 Kerry 0-15

57 mins Walsh again to give Kerry a three-point lead.

56 mins - Great point by Walsh as Kerry get back into the game. Donaghy on as Kerry go for the kill.

55 mins - kerry haven't scored in over ten minutes now. Donaghy getting warmed up on the sidelines. Are the Kingdom getting anxious here.

54 mins - It's all Cork at the moment as Canty breaks forward and wins a free within striking distance. Goulding hits a classy left-foot point from about 35 yards out.

52 mins - Long ball clear for Cork lands in Gouldings outstretched arms. A goal chance there for a moment but settles for the point as the Kerry defender did enough to prevent the shot on goal.

51 mins - Donnacha Walsh on for Kennelly as Kerry make a surprise substitution.

49 mins Fintan Gould of for Kerrigan as Cork make another Change, and O'Connor knocks over a free for Cork's first score in quite a while.

47 mins - Goulding breaks down the left and creates a goalscoring opportunity. Murphy stands his ground in the Kerry goal and makes a great reaction save to deny the goal. Still a four-point lead for Kerry.

44 mins - Great individual point from the Kerry skipper, Darren O'Sullivan, although it looked like he bounced it twice. Replay confirms. Point shouldn't have been awarded. Nice score all the same.

43 mins Another wide for O'Connor, this time from a 45. The gaffer is looking frustrated on the sidelines.

41 mins - Another Cork wide by O'Connor this time. Cork may rue these misses.

39 mins - Soft free kick there for Kerry for a jersey pull on O'Sullivan by Miskella. Easy point for Cooper.

37 mins - Kerry appear to be getting large numbers behind the ball almost enticing Cork onto them. Could be a ploy to play counter-attack football.

36 mins - And we're back. Some Cork team news as Cadogan is on for O'Connor. Cork get some early possession and Kerrigan tries his luck from distance but drifts wide.

Team news update - Ray Carey was deemed unfit just ten minutes before the game and was left out with Kieran O'Connor stepping in to replace him.

HALF-TIME - Cork 1-06 Kerry 0-11

35+3 mins - O'Neill drops a free into the danger zone and Cork win another free on the edge of the box. Goulding taps over an easy point.

35 mins - Lynch gets his name taken, yellow card, for something off the ball with the Gouch. Lots going on there off the ball but it's Lynch who is penalised. Gouch scores from the resulting free.

34 mins - Tomas O Se breaks forward to get his name on the scoresheet. Great point.

Note: Haven't had the chance yet to mention that Kieran O'Connor started in place of Ray Carey - more info at half-time.

31 mins - Cork hit back through a nice Goulding point. It's a one-point game once again.

29 mins Gouch followed quickly by Kennelly as Kerry go two points clear. It's all Kerry at the moment and it looks like Miskella has been moved over to mark O'Sullivan

27 mins Declan O'Sullivan breaks clear of two Cork defenders and points for Kerry. Great score. All square here.

25 mins - Two chance for Kerry in two minutes as first Kennelly and then Galvin both miss the target - both should have scored

23 mins - Declan O'Sullivan in fine form here for Kerry. Gouch grabs another point with a well-taken free.

21 mins - Cork have four wides already, while Kerry have taken all their chances so far. And just as I type that, Walsh clips one over the top and .... wide.

20 mins - Walsh once more for Kerry with a great individual effort to reduce the gap to two points.

19 mins Shields takes the ball out of the Cork defence and over the half-way line. Kerry thwart the attack and plough forward again. Good slow buiold up and nice point for Tommy Walsh at the end of the patient build up.

16 mins - Another free to Cork 30 yards out. O'Connor sets up and makes it two from two for O'Connor to give Cork a four-point lead.

15 mins - Shaping up to be a great contest there between the Gouch and the Cork backs. I wonder if Anthony Lynch can do another man-mark job on him. That could be where the game is won and lost.

13 mins - Gouch getting right into the action and wins another free after a mis-timed Miskella tackle. Gouch raises the white flag.

12 mins - Kerry fight back and the Gouch gets possession and wins a free and duly knocks it over to bring the difference back to four points.

10 mins - GOAL CORK - More Cork pressure pays off as colm O'Neill breaks clear at left corner forward and as Murphy comes out to narrow the angle, the Ballyclough man rifles it home into the near top corner. What a strike. Game on...

9 mins - It's all Cork here the past few minutes and Paddy Kelly takes advantage with a great point.

7 mins - Score for Cork from Colm O'Neill. Nice point from distance. A Cork player took a kick in the face there - accidental or not, it had to hurt.

6 mins - Great pace in the game with end to end action. No more scores.

3 mins - Kerry straight back up the field and the aforementioned Kennelly fires over from about 40 yards out. A great strike off the right boot.

2 mins - Free for Cork from about 35 yards out. Donnacha O'Connor pops it over for the opening score of the game.

1 min - And we're off and Nicholas Murphy gets a warm welcome from Tadhg Kennelly with a very strong shoulder charge to the chin. No sign of a card there for the former Sydney Swans man - that was straight out of the AFL. Murphy looks alright and is back on his feet.

3.28pm The National Anthem always does sound that bit more special at a packed Croker. And no different today. all set to throw in here as the players bounce off their respective markers as a way of introduction, of course.

3.24pm Time for the big march around the field. Off they go keeping good pace behind the Artane Band. A friend of mine who plays a bit reckoned that he would be sent off during the pre-match lap, he'd be so worked up for the occasion. Luckily for the Dubs he never quite made it to that level. It is a great tension builder it has to be said.

3.20pm Here comes El Presidente for the formal introductions. That's a lot of handshakes, even the umpires are in there for a bit of a chin-wag.

3.10pm The teams are out for their pre-match, final warm-ups. The crowd make themselves heard and it'll be time to line up for the big lap soon enough.

3.05pm The pre-martch show is in full swing now as giant Cork and Kerry banners are unfurled on the pitch. The place appears to be full already and it has to be said that Croke Park looks amazing decked out in the red and white and the green and gold. The sun is shining and the smell of a football match is starting to seep into the arena.

2.30pm A strong finish by Armagh sees Mayo consigned to their second All-Ireland final defeat in two years, going down by 0-10 to 0-07.

2.28pm It's almost full-time in the minor match with Armagh leading by two points, 0-09 to 0-07, with just a couple of minutes to go.

1.44pm: Just checked in there with our WEB-ONLY: BACKSTAGE ALL-IRELAND. English commentary from the minor match. Brian Carthy is in the commentator's chair with Cavan manager Tommy Carr doing co-commentary. Fascinating insight into the workings of a commentary team. Half-time in the minor match and it's 0-04 apiece. Half-time studio analysis now live worldwide. Click here.

1.35pm: Just under two hours to go now and the crowds are starting to flock into Headquarters. There are mayo and Armagh jerseys aplenty as the Minor final is underway. Looks like a fairly even contest and the Mayo lads looked pumped ahead of the throw-in. Latest score there is 0-03 apiece.

11.30am: Just four hours to go now before Cork and Kerry do battle once more in the SFC All-Ireland final at Croke Park. The sun is shining in the capital, which makes for near perfect conditions for the Blue Riband event of the GAA calendar.

It seems like a very long time since Cork stormed past this Kerry side back in June or even since Kerry scraped past Sligo in the third round of the qualifiers. But all that will probably count for nothing this afternoon as the experience of lining out and winning on the third Sunday in September at Croke Park will give Kerry every confidence of defeating their near neighbours even if Cork are by far the most consistent team in this year's Championship.

Either way, it makes for an intriguing battle later on this afternoon... Watch this space.
