GAA silent over referee comments

The GAA are holding their silence on comments made by former Cork and Kerry football managers over the appointment of Marty Duffy as referee for Sunday's All-Ireland senior football final.
Mick O'Dwyer and Billy Morgan have both come out and expressed their surprise at the decision to put Sligo referee Duffy in charge, with O'Dwyer claiming that 'politics' had played a part in the decision.
Morgan went even further, suggesting that Pat McEnaney should have been given the job and said: 'I was a bit surprised with the appointment of Marty Duffy as referee. In my opinion, you should have your best man out for the All-Ireland final.
'I don't think it should matter if he has refereed two All-Ireland finals or 10 All-Ireland finals. If he is the best man for the job, then he should get it.'
Croke Park's games director Pat Doherty refused to comment on Morgan or O'Dwyer's comments.
