Eamonn O'Brien has been ratified by the Meath County Board to continue as manager of the county's senior footballers.
The Walterstown man has been given a one-year extension after guiding the Royals to the All-Ireland semi-final in his first year in charge. Meath chairman Barney Allen confirmed that O'Brien has been given the option of a third year.
It is not yet clear whether the manager will continue with the same backroom team of Robbie O'Malley, Donal Curtis and physical trainer Colm Brady.
In other managerial news from the Royal County, Colm O'Rourke will remain on as Meath Under-21 manager with Trevor Giles as one of his selectors.
TJ Reilly has also been given the green light to continue as senior hurling manager after guiding the Royals to a Nicky Rackard Cup success this year.
