Cork’s victory over Tyrone in their All Ireland SFC semi-final at Croke Park on Sunday attracted an average match audience of 622,000 viewers from throw-in to final whistle.

That made it the most watched GAA game this year so far in the Championship on all channels.

The match attracted an average audience share of 55% meaning that just over half of those watching television were tuned in to The Sunday Game Live on RTÉ Two to see the Rebels score a famous win against Mickey Harte’s men and secure their place in the final.

GAA fans can look forward to next Sunday’s second All Ireland SFC semi-final clash live on RTÉ Two when Kerry take on Meath in Croke Park.

The Sunday Game Live will start broadcasting at 1.15pm, beginning with live coverage of the All Ireland MFC semi final between Mayo and Down (throw in at 1.30pm).

Live coverage of Kerry v Meath will then follow at 3.30pm, while Des Cahill will present a round up of the weekend’s action that evening on The Sunday Game at 9.30 p.m. on RTÉ Two.
