Kerry v Dublin is most watched

Kerry’s spectacular victory over Dublin in their All-Ireland SFC quarter-final clash at Croke Park on Monday was the most watched game of the Championship so far this year.
The Monday Game Live on RTÉ Two attracted an average audience of 602,000 across the entire game from throw-in to final whistle.
And it had an average audience share of 62% meaning that more than three-fifths of those watching television at the time were tuned in to see Kerry win their place in the All Ireland SFC semi-final. The audience peaked between 3.15pm and 3.29pm when 662,000 viewers tuned in.
In a bumper bank holiday weekend of live GAA, RTÉ Television’s coverage of the three All-Ireland quarter-final games from Croke Park attracted huge audiences with an average of 457,000 people and 56% share of the audience tuning in.
On Sunday, the Tyrone v Kildare clash drew an average audience of 437,000, with an average audience share of 55% watching the entire game. An average audience of 336,000 viewers and an average share of 49% watched the Cork v Donegal game from start to finish earlier that day.
Fans can look forward to a triple-header of live GAA action on RTÉ Two next Sunday 9 August starting at 11.45am with coverage of the All Ireland MHC semi-final between Kilkenny and Tipperary (throw in at 12.00) followed by live coverage of the All Ireland SFC quarter-final between Mayo and Meath (throw in at 2pm).
That is followed by live coverage of the All Ireland SHC semi-final clash between Kilkenny and Waterford (throw in at 4pm).
The Sunday Game follows that evening at 9.30pm when Des Cahill introduces a round up of the weekend’s action.
