It is expected that the issue of the Government grant scheme to inter-county players will be at the forefront of today’s agenda.
Mr Farrell’s appearance before the Oireachtas committee has been scheduled for a number of weeks, but the GPA has more recently been in talks with Minister Martin Cullen about the scheme of grants for players.
The scheme in its current format sees €3.5 million divided between inter-county footballers and hurlers each year.
