Laois have named two debutants in their side for Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final clash with Louth at Parnell Park.

Rory Stapleton will make his bow at left corner-back, while Ger Reddin is entrusted with the centre-back position.

Stapleton did appear as a substitute in last year's campaign, but this will be his first Championship start for the O'Moore men.

Reddin has been drafted in to fill the gap left by Tom Kelly as the veteran continues his comeback from a cruciate ligament injury.

Manager Sean Dempsey has named Donie Kingston at corner-forward. The youngster made his mark in last year's qualifier series, but this will be his first foray into provincial affairs.

Wing-back Padraig McMahon is marked absent due to a broken jaw, while former All-Star corner-back Joe Higgins may be fit enough to take his place on the bench.

Laois team to play Louth in the Leinster SFC at Parnell Park on Sunday 14 June: M Nolan; C Ryan, M Timmons, R Stapleton; D Rooney, G Reddin, J O'Loughlin; P Clancy, K Meaney; B Quigley, B McCormack, P O'Leary; MJ Tierney, R Munnelly, D Kingston.
