Meath's Murphy unlikely to return

Goalkeeper Brendan Murphy is said to be unlikely to return to the Meath football panel for this year's Championship.
Speculation of Murphy's return to the Meath set-up had been mounting but, according to a report in today's Irish Independent, a return is not on the cards.
The newspaper reports that the keeper, who joined League of Ireland club Longford Town last year but left by mutual consent soon afterwards, would not be returning to the Royal ranks due to family reasons.
Murphy recently lined out for Trim in the Meath Senior Championship win over Rathkenny.
