Armagh have lost the services of another of their stalwarts as Paul McGrane confirmed his retirement from inter-county football.

The midfielder, 35, has been forced to retire due to persistent injury problems.

It’s a blow for the Orchard County, who will also be without Francie Bellew, who announced his retirement last week, and Paddy McKeever.

McGrane won an All-Ireland, a league and seven Ulster titles during his time with the Orchard County.

Meanwhile, Tyrone footballer Tommy McGuigan is expected to find out later today whether his appeal against his proposed four-week suspension has been successful, after he appeared before the GAA's Central Hearing's Committee last night.
