McMenamin waits on suspension news
Updated: Thursday, 19 Feb 2009 13:28
Tyrone ace Ryan McMenamin is sweating over a potential suspension following an incident in Sunday's league clash with Kerry.
McMenamin was involved in an incident with Kerry's Paul Galvin, in which McMenamin appeared to grab the Kingdom player in the groin area.
While referee Jimmy White took no on-pitch action over the incident, Croke Park officials are understood to be studying footage of the incident and disciplinary charges may arise from this.
Should McMenamin be punished, a four-week suspension would appear to be the likely outcome, however, given the nature of his side’s fixtures, he would only miss a league clash with Galway.
