Wexford managers expected to retain positions

Wexford’s senior hurling and football managers will not be ratified until the October monthly meeting of the County Board, but it is expected that both incumbents will remain in their positions.
County Chairman Ger Doyle stressed at this month’s County Board meeting that he hoped to meet the managers over the coming weeks.
John Meyler, who has completed two years in charge of the hurlers, has the option of a third year, while Jason Ryan has just completed his first year in charge of the footballers.
Ryan was appointed for two years with an option of a third year.
Doyle pointed out that the appointments are reviewed on a yearly basis.
It is expected, however, that both managers will be re-appointed without opposition.
