GAA President Nickey Brennan has extended his sympathies and those of the association to the family of Tipperary Under-21 and Senior footballer, Darrel Darcy.
Darcy, who was a member of the Shannon Rovers GAA club, was killed in a car accident on Tuesday afternoon.
Darcy played inter-county football for Tipperary at Minor, Under-21 and Senior level.
Last weekend, he lined out at corner-forward for Tipperary in the Munster Under-21 Football final.
The following day he appeared as a substitute for the Tipperary Senior footballers in their victory over Antrim.
