Pat O'Shea: keeps the same selectors as last year

2007 All-Ireland winning Kerry Football manager Pat O'Shea has been re-appointed to the post for another one-year term. His selectors, Dr Dave Geaney and Seán Geaney, were re-appointed for the same period.

The decision was taken at Tuesday's meeting of the Kerry County Committee.

It was widely reported last year that O'Shea's stint in the Kerry hotseat would last only one year due to his job as Coaching and Games Manager of the Munster Council. However, a decision was taken by the Council earlier this month to allow him to stay on as Kerry manager.

As well as being re-appointed as a selector for the senior team, Seán Geaney was also made manager of the Kerry Under-21s. He will appoint two selectors to work alongside him.

At minor level, John Kennedy was re-appointed for a two year term.  Vince Cooper - brother of Kerry forward Colm - has stepped down as a selector and Kennedy will choose a replacement.
