Barcelona hosting European Championships

300 players will compete at the Gaelic Football European Championship Finals in Barcelona this weekend.
Teams from Spain, France, Germany, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Denmark, Austria and Hungary will compete for the European Men's and Ladies' Championship and the Men's Shield will also be decided.
Barcelona Gaels are hosting the tournament, which will be attended by some of Croke Park's top officials, including outgoing Director General of the GAA, Liam Mulvihill.
Gaelic Football is gaining increasing popularity on the continent, with over 1,000 players now registered to play for 25 clubs.
