ABOUT THE SHOW
The Sunday Game returned on 17 May 2009, with presenter Des Cahill and a host of panellists reviewing the action each weekend of the Championship.

Each Sunday evening throughout the Championship, the programme will feature highlights of all the other championship matches, analysis and discussion.

In a brand new fortnightly item, Sunday Game Club Call, local clubs will be given the opportunity to have GAA All Star winners and football and hurling legends, Pat Spillane or Ger Loughnane, spend a day in their club to assess their team and whip them into shape by taking over a night's training session. All club teams are invited to submit their details from any level of football, hurling, ladies' football or camogie, from under-14 through to minor, junior and senior club teams - all are welcome. To put the call out to Pat or Ger simply go to www.rte.ie/gaa for further details. First to receive the Club Call treatment will be Bere Island GAA Club, County Cork on May 17th. The Sunday Game will also devote three special programmes to celebrate the GAA's 125th anniversary, beginning with a half-hour special tribute on May 17th with guests including GAA Director General, Pauric Duffy, new GAA President, Christy Cooney, as well as a host of some of the GAA's living legends, such as Eddie Keher, Michael 'Babs' Keating, Sean Boylan and Mick O'Dwyer.

On 5th July, a 90 minute live special will take a look back at the Munster Hurling Championship throughout the years and preview the much-anticipated Munster Hurling Final with a live studio audience, while on All Ireland Football Final night, Des will present a 90 minute special, reviewing the Championship and the GAA's special anniversary with a live studio audience. (Click here for highlights)

In addition to these events, The Sunday Game will also feature a bi-monthly one-to-one interview by Des with a special football or hurling legend from the past.

The Sunday Game will also be available for seven days on-demand in our GAA Media Player.

Users on the island of Ireland can see the programme from Sunday night; users worldwide will have access to the programme 72 hours later.
