Leinster finals postponed once more

The re-fixed Leinster Club SHC and SFC finals down for this weekend have now been postponed.

Wexford's Oulart the Ballagh and Kilkenny's O'Loughlin Gaels were due to meet in the hurling final at Dr Cullen Park, while Dublin's Kilmacud Crokes and Offaly champions Rhode were set to meet in the football final at O'Moore Park.

However, fresh snowfall and the failure of the land to thaw out sufficiently mean the matches, originally to be played last weekend, will not now go ahead.

No date has yet been set for the rescheduling of the games, although Leinster Council secretary Michael Delaney had said they would be put back until the New Year if not played this weekend.

The Ulster Council will wait until Friday to decide if its rearranged club finals will take place on Sunday.

The AIB Leinster Club JHC, JFC and IFC finals due to take place this weekend have also been postponed and will now be played on 19 December, weather permitting.
